Legal Issues

Cloning is a very controversial topic. Especially when the topic comes down to human cloning. At least 7 states, including Arizona, Arkansas, Michigan, North Dakota, Soth Dakota, Oklahoma, and Virginia do not allow any type of cloning. Whether it's cloning to produce children or cloning done for biomedical purposes. In the other hand, as of right now, 10 states including California, Connecticut, Illinois, Iowa, Maryland, Massachusetts, Missouri, Montana, New Jersey, and Rhode Island only allow cloning for biomedical research. Social  Cloning Issues

Cloning presents multiple issues including the way in which society will "accept" and treat the first human clone. Many questions will have to be thought and answered prior to cloning. Questions such as how will the individual live? Whom will it be able to communicate with? What sort of education will be given to them? would they live a normal life? And many more. (2)

Ethical/Religious Issues

Cloning is very controversial when talking about religion. The most common topic is whether scientists are "Playing God" or not. People believe scientists are doing the job that they believe only God can do, create life itself.  Others also believe that a clone does not have a soul and can affect the beliefs of a religion in many ways. There are also other religious ethical problems in cloning, problems such as accepting organ donations. There are a few religions that do not believe in harming animals in any way possible and it is possible that these persons will deny an animal organ that came from a cloned animal that could save their life.
